Jukka-Pekka Mäkinen has a 30 years long career in electrical engineering business. He has worked in managerial positions in international environment including work assignments in Switzerland and USA. He has has worked for ABB, Ericsson and Vacon. For the last 15 years he has worked extensively on China and other Asian markets.

In 2006 J-P started as a President and CEO of The Switch. The Switch was funded by investors and company employees where three start companies were put together to bring better technology to environmental energy business. This was a job where J-P’s experience and knowledge of electrical drives was put in service for better environment. From the beginning the company was born to be global and China has been one of the main markets.

Products included converters and Permanent magnet machines and converters for wind power. Also high speed drives have been one of the key which are also part of Greenstream ESCO offering.
