GreenStream Network signed a breakthrough deal in Chinese Steel Industry

GreenStream has signed a cooperation and energy efficiency project contract with Chinese Delong Steel Group and Delong Steel Co. Ltd. This energy efficiency project will be carried out at Delong Steel’s Xingtai mill by using Sarlin’s world class technology. The project will significantly decrease the energy consumption of the steel mill’s compressed air system. The signing ceremony in Beijing was attended by Finland’s Minister of Environment Ms. Sanni Grahn-Laasonen, Mr. Li Ganjie, the Vice Minister of Chinese Ministry of Environmental Protection and Mr. Guo Liqiao, the Deputy Director General of the Department of Building Energy Efficiency of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

The contract enables Delong Steel Co. Ltd to implement its first energy efficiency project with Finnish technology, and adds new technology partner to GreenStream portfolio. GreenStream has been active in China’s energy efficiency market for years, and the new project brings a major reference to GreenStream. Dr. Jussi Nykänen, the CEO of GreenStream, notes: “Expanding our business to steel sector is essential part of an accelerated roll-out of our energy efficiency services in China. We are targeting in fast growth and Sarlin’s world-class solution is a perfect addition to our technology portfolio. The core of our concept is to find the best and most robust solutions for our Chinese clients.”

For Sarlin Oy this project will bring the ground-breaking reference in China. Sarlin is a Finnish company specialized in industrial compressed air, automation, and sustainable energy technology. The system that to be provided to Delong Steel Xingtai mill, called Sarlin Balance, will monitor the compressors, keep their pressure in balanced level and give information on how the compressed air system works in the factory. “We are honored that we are can provide our system to such technologically-advanced company like Delong Steel. Our system will improve the quality of compressed air, facilitate the maintenance of compressors and bring remarkable energy savings to the client.” explains Mr. Kari Jäminki, the CEO of Sarlin Oy. ”And we would not have been able to make this project happen without GreenStream’s excellent local networks and strong cultural know-how. We needed a strong partner to access to China and GreenStream was able to make our first China reference to become true in record time. The project development phase has been part of Team Finland’s pilot project called “Energy Efficiency Solution Business Concept for the Chinese Industrial Market” (EFFI), which is lead by GreenStream and financed by Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation. With the support of EFFI, Finnfund, TEKES and its technology partners, GreenStream looks forward to further expanding its energy efficiency portfolio in 2015.

GreenStream Network teki merkittävän sopimuksen Kiinan terästeollisuussektorilla

GreenStream on allekirjoittanut yhteistyö- ja energiatehokkuusprojektisopimuksen kiinalaisen Delong Steel konsernin ja siihen kuuluvan Delong Steel Co. Ltd:n kanssa. Energiatehokkuusprojekti toteutetaan Delong Steel-yhtiön Xingtain tehtaalla ja käyttäen suomalaisen Sarlin Oy:n huipputeknologiaa. Projekti tulee vähentämään huomattavasti tehtaan paineilmalaitteiden energiankulutusta. Sopimuksen allekirjoitustilaisuus pidettiin Pekingissä, ympäristöministeri Sanni Grahn-Laasosen delegaatiomatkaan sisältyvässä Pure Finland –tapahtumassa. Tilaisuudessa oli paikalla myös Kiinan ympäristösuojeluministeriön johtaja Li Ganjie sekä asumisen energiatehokkuudesta vastaava johtaja Guo Liqiao kaupunki- ja maaseutukehityksestä vastaavasta ministeriöstä.

Projekti on Delong Steel Co. Ltd:lle ensimmäinen energiatehokkuushanke, joka on toteutettu suomalaisella teknologialla. Se myös laajentaa GreenStreamin teknologiaportfoliota.  GreenStream on ollut jo vuosien ajan aktiivinen Kiinassa ja uusi terästeollisuuden energiatehokkuusprojekti tuo merkittävän referenssin yritykselle. ”Energiatehokkuusliiketoimintamme laajentaminen terästeollisuuden sektorille on merkittävä virstanpylväs meille, koska tähtäämme nopeaan kasvuun Kiinassa. Sarlinin maailmanluokan teknologia on loistava lisä energiatehokkuusratkaisuiden teknologiasalkkuumme, sillä haluamme toimittaa kiinalaiselle asiakkaalle ainoastaan parhaan mahdollisen energiatehokkuusratkaisun” kertoo Jussi Nykänen, GreenStreamin toimitusjohtaja.

Sarlinille tämä projekti on ensimmäinen Kiinassa ja siten erittäin merkittävä askel kohti Kiinan markkinoita. Sarlin on teollisen paineilman, automaation sekä ympäristöystävällisen energiateknologian edelläkävijä. Projektissa kiinalaiselle terästehtaalle asennettava paineilman hallintajärjestelmä Sarlin Balance ohjaa kompressoreita, pitää paineen tasaisena sekä antaa informaatiota paineilmajärjestelmän toiminnasta. ”On kunnia päästä näyttämään osaamisemme niin teknologisesti edistykselliselle yritykselle kuin Delong Steel. Sarlin Balance -järjestelmämme parantaa paineilman laatua, helpottaa kunnossapitoa sekä tuo Delong Steel Ltd:lle merkittävät energiasäästöt” sanoo Kari Jäminki, Sarlinin toimitusjohtaja. ”Tämän sopimuksen toteutuminen ei olisi ollut mahdollista ilman GreenStreamin suhteita sekä paikallisen liiketoimintakulttuurin tuntemusta. Tarvitsemme vahvan yhteistyökumppanin, sillä kyseessä on ensimmäinen toimituksemme Kiinan markkinoille. GreenStreamin ammattitaitoisen henkilöstön kanssa se onnistui ennätysajassa, heidän kanssaan on ilo tehdä yhteistyötä” hän jatkaa.

Projektin suunnitteluvaihe oli osa Tekesin rahoittamaa ja GreenStreamin vetämää Team Finlandin “Energy Efficiency Solution Business Concept for the Chinese Industrial Market” (EFFI) pilottihanketta. Ohjelma kehittää uusia liiketoimintamalleja suomalaisille teknologiayrityksille energiatehokkuushankkeissa Kiinassa. EFFI-hankkeen, FinnFundin, Tekesin ja eri teknologiayhteistyökumppaneiden tukemana GreenStream tähtää energiatehokkuushankkeidensa nopeaan kasvuun Kiinassa myös vuonna 2015.
